This is largely driven by the customer’s requirement. We however look at our planning schedule and advise our customers accordingly in order to deliver the best service.
What time will you finish concreting?
This is also largely driven by our customer’s preference, distance from our batching plants, traffic conditions among other factors.
How will you discharge concrete where your pump cannot reach?
We look at alternatives like pipe extensions, use of fixed pumps, working hand in hand with the customer to avail a team to push the concrete among other options.

Our concrete is charged per cubic meter for each class of concrete. A truck load can vary in volume depending on its size.
What happens when your concrete fails in strength test?
A consultative session will be held to figure out the cause of failure. Ordinarily our concrete is overdesigned and hence has minimal chances of failure on strength.

No. ReadyMix concrete is designed to last as long as possible during transit. This in essence negates the purpose of hardeners.
Why is your concrete more expensive than your competition yet you do not offer any credit?
We consider our concrete and processes to be top of class in terms of quality, integrity of processes and other factors. For us to be able to maintain our standards our concrete becomes a little more expensive as compared to others. We offer the best value for money.
How can a client verify the quantity of concrete in the drum of a truck mixer when it arrives at the site?
It is difficult for a client to determine the quantity of concrete in our drums. However, we provide our delivery notes indicative of the volume of concrete therein. In the event that a client may request, we provide weighbridge tickets as well as GPRS reports for our trucks as a second line of check. We operate at very high levels of integrity and ensure that we offer our customers value for money at all times.

What do you do when joints between paving blocks open up after laying ?
In areas exposed to high speed traffic, or to wind and water erosion, some of the jointing sand between the individual blocks may be lost during the first few months of the life of the pavement. This problem is greatly reduced as the joints between the blocks become clogged with road detritus and other material. This plugging of joints is usually well established after about three months of pavement usage. Alternatively the paved area can be re-sanded.
What do you do when weeds grow on the paved area ?
Most of the vegetation growth in paved areas is the result of windblown seeds which germinate in the jointing sand between the blocks. This can be eliminated by uprooting the weed or applying herbicide.
How do you remove oil stains from paving blocks ?
Concrete block paving is frequently used for car parks, garages bus termini etc. As a result the surface is often spoilt by stains. These stains stains can be removed by scrubbing with a strong detergent and washed down with water.
Why is there whitish matter or light coloring on the surface of paving blocks and how do you remove it ?
This whitish matter is called efflorescence. It results when free lime in the cement is dissolved and carried by water to the surface of the blocks and is deposited there once the water evaporates. Efflorescence is temporary and disappears on its own accord. Its purely superficial and does not affect the durability or strength of paving blocks. If immediate removal is required the blocks can be scrubbed with water and a hard brush.
